In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
