Woman Arrested Following Reported Gas Supply Sabotage at Multiple Sydney Medical Facilities
One woman has been arrested after medical gas supplies reportedly tampered with at a pair of Sydney-area hospitals.

Sutherland Hospital in the city's southern suburbs lost medical gases on early Tuesday, requiring them to switch to portable oxygen and air as part of their contingency plans, according to medical authorities.
"This incident of the loss of gases appears to be intentional interference," authorities stated.
Officials stressed that "{To allegedly commit such acts is beyond serious. The potential for disastrous consequences."
Law Enforcement Response
NSW police said they received reports of "alleged vandalism at multiple medical facilities in the Caringbah area." It's understood that the second location was a local private medical center.
Authorities claim a 42-year-old woman gained access of a hospital on Kareena Road at approximately 12:20 AM on Tuesday morning and "severed utility lines, then turning on emergency water systems."
They further alleged that at about early morning, "the suspect entered the grounds of another hospital on Kareena Road ... and reportedly switched off the gas main."
The individual was apprehended in the Miranda area at approximately 4 AM on Tuesday for violating bail conditions, according to police.
Medical Facility Recovery
Medical authorities confirmed that gas systems were restored by hospital teams and local health district "within approximately two hours."
"I want to assure the community patient care was not affected to medical services and that the facility has resumed normal operations according to standard procedures," officials stated.
They added that "Access to gas systems in NSW public hospitals is restricted. We will review the situation to identify potential enhancements can be put in place."
Authorities disclosed that the woman reportedly climbed over a barrier at the medical facility and entered to a restricted area.
