Ex-President stated on Friday that he is withdrawing his support for Congresswoman MTG, a former ally of the ex-president and the Maga campaign.

This decision came mere hours after the congresswoman said in an interview that she believed Trump's efforts to stop the publication of documents related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein were "insanely the bad direction to go."

"I'm withdrawing my backing and support of 'Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the wonderful state of Georgia," Donald Trump wrote on his preferred platform. "All I see 'Wacky' Marjorie do is WHINE, WHINE, WHINE!"

Trump mentioned that he would offer his "unyielding support" to a election rival versus her "when the appropriate individual runs." She at this time represents Georgia's 14th congressional district.

Escalating Policy Disagreements

Earlier on Friday, the Georgia representative had informed reporters that Trump should not be trying to stop the publication of the Epstein records when rising costs in the United States are creating challenges for even the president's own supporters to pay their bills.

"It's incredibly the incorrect direction to go. The critical emergency is health care and financial accessibility for the American people. And that's where the attention should be," she stated.

She added, "Publishing the Epstein files is the most straightforward thing in the world. Just release it the entire thing. Permit the American people review every part of it, and, you know, stand by the survivors. That's just like the most logical, simplest thing in the entire world. But to spend any time working to stop it creates – it just doesn't make sense to me."

Recent Tensions

The congresswoman has spent the recent months voicing views that are in disagreement with those of the administration and several of her GOP counterparts. Just days ago, the former president pushed back against remarks from her, claiming she had "strayed off course" after she alleged him of paying an overabundance of attention to international issues and not enough to the soaring living expenses in the America.

Marjorie Taylor Greene replied to the former president's statements on her preferred platform a next day, stating that "the singular route is through God."

"That is my way, and I've certainly not deviated. Actually I'm striving to put my faith into action," she wrote.

Political Differences

Tensions have increased since the former president's reelection, as the representative has progressively diverged with the GOP on home and foreign policy. She questioned the administration for its intentions to provide "huge sums" in weapons to Ukraine and departed from the GOP's traditional support for Israel by labeling its war in the Gaza Strip a "genocide".

In a separate interview, the representative from Georgia addressed her frustration with leadership of her own party, such as the legislative leader, her colleague, during the government shutdown that wrapped up recently.

In the shutdown, she sided with Democratic lawmakers in their push to provide health insurance support, a unusual move for a GOP member.
